The Buckeye Winnies are one of the oldest WIT chapters in the country, having been established in 1972. Our membership focuses on NE Ohio, the Akron-Canton area in particular, but we do have members from as far away as Warren, OH and Pittsburgh, PA. We welcome all Winnebago enthusiasts! We have members from all walks of life and we have a great time together! We are always looking to add to the fun with new members.

We camp out every month from May to November, usually the second full weekend of the month. The wagon masters (usually two couples) plan local activities, campfires, and sometimes on-site entertainment. In 2008, we had a murder mystery! Meals are simple but delicious. We typically have a potluck on Friday evening, a full breakfast provided by the wagon masters on Saturday morning, dinner out at a local restaurant on Saturday night, and continental breakfast on Sunday morning, followed by a weeny roast right before we unhook and say goodbye until the next campout. During the colder months, when we're not camping, we continue to meet for lunch monthly on Saturday in a local restaurant or one of our homes
